My design philosophy in Zoya Istanbul is, reflecting the lines of my ancestors, and being inspired by my own land. Inspired by the Seljuk Stars, the NESTED series were inspired by the wisdom of civilizations transferred from the past to the present. These designs are a modern interpretation of the geometry used in Seljuk architecture. The motif, designed with a symbolic approach, describes the stars holding hands, the cultures and communities that are part of the same great system, in short, all of us.

The symbolic and geometric language used in Seljuk structures describes life in simple forms. Quintuplets are frequently encountered in geometric decorations of Seljuk architecture.
